Thank you for the sweet and heartfelt comments on my last post. I spent the weekend with family and friends. I am feeling grateful. Grateful for this space and the support i get here. Spending time with friends and family always seems to put things into perspective. This past weekend has been planned for months. My favorite niece's 1st birthday, seeing the play Wicked with my mom, sister and a dear friend. A weekend like that is good medicine for a sad girl. Oh and so is good mail. A mailbox filled with fun things can always make me smile.
I participated in the Mobile Swap and once again i have been lucky enough to have a wonderful, creative partner. I love my mobile.
The mobile was made of vinyl and beautiful fabric of colors that i LOVE. It is so different and unique. Thank you Susan.
Here was my contribution to the swap.
Happy Monday friends. I am so glad you are here!

Wow there goes that weekend. Always too fast.
I spent it working on filling etsy orders and TRYING to organize my studio. Sometimes I really feel like it is hopeless. When Sally did here post on her beautiful studio. I admired it and finally realized mine will never be like that. It is hard to explain but I guess it boils down to one thing. I am the kind of person where when it is out of sight, it is out of mind. All of my collage materials need to be where i can see them or i will forget i have them. Well, the inspirational stuff anyway. It seems that when I am playing with my "stuff" that is when the creative bug hits. Needless to say, my studio has endless piles. I have to say though that the piles are beginning to exhaust me. I need a system. I also now need an official shipping station. So i perused the ikea website last night and came up with a few ideas. A trip down to the store today, with a little detour to Daiso. (why do i love that store sooooo much?) and here i am. Anybody want to come over to help.

Hello poor neglected blog space. How have you been? I have been missing you but since it has stopped raining, the boy is once again healthy, and the busyness is over (at least for now) I have come to visit.
If you have not seen the work of Cori Kindred run, do not walk over to her blog, flickr page and her etsy store. You will not be sorry. Her pictures are hard to descibe because they are composed of so much. They are beautiful, a little gritty (in a good way) and the colors and textures are so good. Really, you must go see for yourself.
Cori and I recently did a swap. I am a little embarrassed to say that I almost cried when I saw all the beautiful things she sent me. The pictures I have here do not do this work justice so make sure you go see the real thing.
A girl after my own heart with this beautiful collection.
I love this piece, so touching
My favorite polairod. Does anyone else see a theme here?
Look here for the professional version
One of the two postcards she sent. Hey Aim, do you think I should get this print as a gift for Adam??
To top it off some of her lovely fabric tags and her cool business card.
Thanks again for the swap Cori!

Hi there friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I have a small favor to ask of you. I have a very special and talented friend named Mary Ann. I met her in a pink and brown swap two years ago. She has become a wonderful friend and a huge support to me. She is also fantastic artist and currently has a piece in a Valentine contest here. Could you all do me a huge favor and go to this website and vote for my friend Mary Ann's art piece? She is Mary Ann A. Please with sugar on top. Thank you!

Since it has been fairly rainy in my part of the country, we have been staying inside quite a bit. Needless to say, all you mamas out there know that means keeping the littles busy. My four year old boy is just starting to take an interest in crafting with his big sis and myself and I couldn't be happier. These are a few things we have been working on.
These guys are the Hop-A-Long Gang:
Their legs make it easy for them to boogie down, but their tall stature make them awfully difficult to photograph. I will be offering kits in the shop.
Hey birdies, get ready for your close up!
Next it was on to a Martha Stewart craft from the new (but they should really call it old) Good Things for Kids magazine that just hit newsstands. Unfortunately, this has no new projects in it. It is all just rehashed from the old Kids and Baby Magazines. Bummer! Anyhow we made crayon blocks and i had the best time taking pictures of our progress.
Peeling of the crayons:
Chopping of the crayons:
The final result:
Have a great weekend everyone! I am off to flea market. Hopefully, I will have some good finds to show you when I get back on Monday!
