Love the dress above! I saw this in a magazine and then saw SJP wearing it on David Letterman a few years back.
Sorry to have not posted this week. We have been a little out of sorts with all the fires. We are currently in no immediate danger but the kid's schools have been closed and the air quality is horrendous. I have been a busy bee this week. I sent out some Halloween packages, cut out fabric for a halloween banner and am currently working on my son's b-day invitations.
I have a new button on my side bar. It is a pledge to buy handmade this holiday season. I am well on my way to keeping this pledge. I think everyone who receives a gift from me this holiday season will get something from etsy. I encourage everyone to stay away from the mall and shop handmade!!!!
Speaking of handmade, one thing that has been bothering me is that my etsy shop has been sitting empty for quite some time now. Not by choice, believe me. I am hoping to have a shop update in the begininning or middle of November. I will keep you posted here.
Thanks as always for reading. Have a great weekend.

this is a tiny collage that i am working on for a project.
Sometimes little is all i can handle.
i am loving how easy & painless the tear sheet swap i hosted was. The hardest part was assigning the partners. i mailed mine off on Monday, i couldn't believe that postage to Austrailia was less than $3. Woo Hoo! I am thinking of maybe hosting a Christmas tearsheet swap in late November. Any takers?
Let see, i found a bed frame i am in love with here. Which may seem familiar if you have already seen this.

this is my new favorite song (strange but surprisingly catchy)

I am feeling rather organized lately. I know with this picture i have you all fooled into to thinking i am the queen of organization but really, ask my husband, i am not! However, I have the Halloween costumes all ready to go. I have a few halloween projects to finish up and then it is on to thinking about Christmas.
Yes Christmas! I know some of you are thinking what about Thanksgiving? Or are secretly cursing me because it is, after all, only October. Well I am one of those spoiled people who shows up with a side dish and gets to eat a marvelous meal.
I have to think about Christmas early because if i don't i get all freaky and stressed.
I ordered my Christmas cards online. This is the first year i have ever done that. I usually make my cards and love doing so but realize i just can't pull it off this year. Last year i didn't get them out until New Year's. I tried to justify it by thinking the recipient would pay more attention to my card because it didn't come in the Christmas rush but really...
I have also decided to make my life easier by doing 90% of my Christmas shopping online. Thank god for etsy. The quality and variety just keeps getting better. I have found so many things there that i just love.
So hate me or not, i am already thinking about it. I want to have a stress free holiday season and that for me means getting started. Jumping in, here i go.

Happy Friday! I just wanted to let everyone know that signed up for the tear sheet swap that it looks like i won't get your partners info out to you until Sunday. I am getting used to a brand new work schedule. I am a little surprised how hard it is to change my routine.
So today i started something new - pretty dress friday. i don't think this will be an every friday thing but sometimes it is fun to look at fancy things. SJP has great style when she dresses up and is often just a little off kilter which is something i like.
Enjoy your weekend everyone.
