Dear girl. It's too much. *hug*

cindy k

i'm so sorry to hear this news. several years ago, i was laid off the friday before christmas. it was horrendous and i even returned some gifts i had purchased.

at the time, i was so devastated and intent on finding a new job, i didn't take advantage of the time off as you described. i guess i didn't have hope it would work out ok, but it did.

i heard a great quote on from documentary about people who lost their jobs. it was something like,'being let go is like the universe saying you're meant to be doing something else.'

i send you some hope. enjoy your kids.

Thinking of you, Jen...and I know that you will come out on top of all this. I am so relieved to hear the postivity in your words. I know you'll look back on this and be able to say, "This is when everything good started to happen..." xoxo

I'm sorry to hear the news, but I do hope whatever has clicked for you brings good things your way! I believe everything has a way of working out.

more time to visit & craft with your sister! xxoo
p.s. i like that shadow shot.

I can't wait to hear what it's telling you!

what a great photo jen! i love seeing you here...especially after hearing your voice today, with all that is going on, you still manage to lift MY spirits. LYG.

you have such a wonderful and rare outlook, jen. i look forward to seeing what the universe has in store for you! xo

Great attitude Jen, things happen for a reason...take time out to enjoy whats important right now and greater things will happen for you Im sure!

While that really is the pits, I am sure you can make it into lemonade. :-)

oh, i'm sorry. but way to have a positive attitude!

For years, I didn't know where I was going and I loss a succession of jobs. I felt terrible, like my inability to hold a job somehow reflected my inability as a human being. However, I can see now -- hindsight being what it is -- that it was all to lead me on the path that I am skipping down happily. If I hadn't lost those jobs, I never would have made the moves, both in homes and jobs, that I did to lead me where I am. I love being a librarian more than I've ever loved a job before.

I hope, for you, that this will be that kind of step. But in the meantime, I think you have the right idea!

Oh Jen! All the best to you - you'll pull through this. You certainly have the right frame of mind.

oh shit, jen, i'm sorry. i got laid off last week, too, didn't mention it as my problems do not need to be yours as well. we'll get thru it, good things are coming your way. yes, spend time with your little ones, and devote your free time to creativity. it works wonders for the soul.

I have no words - only prayers for blessings for you and yours.

i think you are very wise to look at the bigger picture and find the blessing! that is a powerful life lesson for your wonderful kids. plus, that photo is awesome! xoxo-j.

I have been going through that same Change in my own life, though in my case I brought it on myself by QUITTING my job...! But it has turned out to be the best decision I've ever made. I have been chronicling it on my own blog starting about here: https://debztalkin.blogspot.com/2007/09/life-its-for-living.html. I can only wish for you as fun and exciting a ride as I've had!

hoping that all good things come to you from the sabbatical the universe has sent you.

I'm so sorry that you got laid off. You're in my thoughts today!

A) Love the photo
B) I'm sorry
C) Your attitude rocks!

I know you have been worried about this for some time and if nothing else, you at least won;t be waiting for that other shoe to drop. There is no doubt in me that you will use this as a benefit and turn things around. My love to you.

Found you in blog land. I love your eye for taking photos. Sorry to hear about your lay off, but this is a great time to throw out there one of my favorite questions that hangs in my laundry room: "What would you do if you knew you could not fail?"

Warm Wishes,
Karen Eileen
