blue and yellow child's room

Hi everyone.  I am not, not blogging by choice.  Our brand new computer somehow let spyware through and shut down out internet connection.  So far no luck in getting it back.  I am able to blog from work and only able to access the few pictures i uploaded to flickr before our double computer disaster.  My spirits are low as i miss my blog and my blogging buddies.  At this point i don't even know when or if i'll be back up and running.  A call to the geek squad may be in order.

I am not the only one that is quiet on the blog front.  It seems many are taking breaks and not blogging as much.  Must be something in the air.

I can still open my email so if you feel like chatting send me a line.

Just a reminder on my Wednesday inspired images, all the pictures i am posting are tear sheets i have saved.  None of them are photos taken by me.  Just don't want to take credit where it is not due.

Hugs to you all!

ranting and raving

vintage rubber stamps

I feel as if i haven't posted a worthwhile post in quite some time.  Blogging for me this summer has become more difficult and i am not sure why.  Still the same amount of hours in the day? check! still the same amount of kids running around this joint? check! still working full time? still married?  check, check!  Hmmm not sure what gives but whatever it may be i have given in to it.

So first exciting thing on the agenda.  I had coffee this afternoon and i can't sleep.  yep i love nights like these.  I work on a few projects, scour the web for inspiration, rattle on, on my blog.  I used to be a night owl, ALL of my creative projects were realized and concocted in the wee hours of the night.  However after child #2 i am now a morning person (the horror) now don't let yourself get crazy and think that i get up at 5am and start up my sewing machine or bust out my latest collage.  OH NO!  That would be insane.  More like wake up at 8am and go hang out in my studio for a few hours.  Sunday morning are a really good creative time for me, too bad i have to work most Sundays.

Secondly, although i haven't been blogging much there are quite a few crafty things going on over here.  My sewing progression is going well.  I haven't shown too many more project because i can only let you guys oh and ah over a pillow, not 5.  I have been trying to get my mojo back as far as collage goes.  Not sure why creativity in one area seems to stifle it in a another for me but as long as i am creating i don't care.  I know however that some of you remember that this used to be a blog with lots of pretty collages on it.  And to the three of you out there, never fear, the collages will make a comeback.  Paper will always be my first love.

Thirdly, i can't figure out how to upload pictures to my new computer.  Yes there is more than one way to do it but i want to do it the old way and to no avail. So it looks like i need to find that damn cord from my camera.  Any idea where it might be???

Fourthly?????  By now you are thinking that you click on someones else's blog because you haven't read this many words of mine in long time.  I am sorry for that.  Maybe you like the pictures more than the words, who knows.  All i know is that i appreciate EVERYONE who reads and especially comments on my blog.  Thank you for visiting.  Thank you for commenting when i only post one picture once a week.  Thank you from the bottom of my crafty little heart.

Sorry to tease you all there about the blog being back in full force.  I took some time to go visit my family and to mourn the loss of a dear family friend.  Although it was a sad time, i also got to spend time with my family which is alway fun.  My mom gave me the "day off" so i took off to Santa Barbara and had a day of fun which for me means shopping.  Thanks again for that mom, i am feeling refreshed and inspired.

My family is also very creative so i always want to work on projects around them and when i get home.  Since i have devoted my summer to learning to sew, i have been ignoring my paper and i think it is mad at me.  i tried to make a few collages last week before i left but nothing came to me.  While at my mom's i had some really vivid dreams (i never remember my dreams) and have some new inspiration to start a new collage project.

All in all the time away from home was good for me.
