This one is a favorite. I have had it for YEARS. I think it came out of a british home magazine. Unfortunately I don't think it is being published any longer.
Here it is in my daughter's shirt. This is one of my favorite photos I have ever taken of my daughter. I loved that shirt. That was when she still liked what i picked out for her to wear.
Here is again in one of my very favorite prints I have ever purchased from Jen Causey. I am on a mission to find boots like that for the winter.

Who isn't inspired by paint chips at home depot. I especially like when magazines put together a color combination that i wouldn't have thought of. In fact i'm a little obsessed. i cut them out and save them in my inspiration pile. Which is QUITE larger. I spent some time this summer putting together different things that match the paint chip samples i have saved. Most of the work is not my own and i don't claim it to be. Just another way to show my inspiration and love of the handmade. enjoy!
GRAY*YELLOW*YUMMY BLUE
Here it is on one of my favorite prints i purchased from Something'is Hiding in Here.
Then again on one of my MOST favorite pages i have ever seen in Martha Stewart Living. Sorry don't have the month or issue number that this came from.
I hope everyone has a lovely and safe holiday weekend.
xoxo

It is time for jen of painted fish studio and my monthly polaroid collaboration. This is the twelfth in a series of twelve. The last in this series. So the collaboration goes like this...Jen and I alternate picking a word and on the last day of each month we share our polaroid interpretation of that word on our blogs. This month Jen selected the word Jen. There is a story behind this of course. Last March Jen was feeling the winter blahs in MN. I told Jen she needed a trip to sunny california. Here is the "invitation" i sent. She decided to take me up on my offer. The next step was deciding when she would come to CA. We both agreed that August would work best for both of us and then Jen booked her flight. It was not long after that, that Jen realized not only was August the last month of our 12 month polaroid collaboration, it was also the first time we would get to meet face to face. She immediately knew that the word she would choose for august had to incorporate our meeting somehow. Of course i agreed. The perfect way to end the collaboration.

:: Jen's Caption :: jen, i cannot believe it has been a year. i love our project. let's do another 12 months! xo, me

It is time for jen of painted fish studio and my monthly polaroid collaboration. This is the eleventh in a series of twelve. I don't know if I can stop at just twelve, there are just so many words yet to interpret. So...Jen and I alternate picking a word and on the last day of each month we share our polaroid interpretation of that word on our blogs. This month I selected the word temptation, I really had no idea what I would photograph when I chose this word but I knew it would be a challenge. The word has many different meanings to many different people.

It is time for jen of painted fish studio and my monthly polaroid collaboration. This is the tenth in a series of twelve. Jen and I alternate picking a word and on the last day of month we share our polaroid interpretation of that word on our blogs. I am embarrassingly late in posting. This month Jen selected the word summer, she could not have picked a more perfect word. Light, airy and simple. Once again the similarities in our interpretation is a little freaky.
